New CBBC Quiz Show for Kids (8-13)

Do you enjoy fun quizzes and comedy challenges?  Would you love to take part in a crazy contest where you don’t even have to leave your own home? 

Remotely Funny is a revolutionary fast-paced game-show for kids aged 8-13 (and their families) that plays out in contestants’ homes via web cams. You’ll face questions based on quirky facts, funny stories and random knowledge from around the world plus take part in timed comedy challenges and scavenger hunts all over your house, involving Mum, Dad, siblings, Aunts, Uncles, friends, neighbours and anyone else who happens to be there.

The series will be filmed 16th – 31st JULY 2016.

If you’re aged between 8 and 13 on September 1st 2015 and think this sounds like a good laugh please fill in the application form you can find here:.  You’ll need to get your parent’s permission and there’s a form for them to fill in too.

The closing date for signed applications with photos is FRIDAY 10th JUNE 2016.

MCC Final 2016

The final of the Merseyside Challenge Cup took place at the Sands Hotel, Ainsdale on Wednesday 11th May 2016.  The finalist were Unison of Ormskirk and Rainhill Victoria of Liverpool.

MIMIR Final 2016

The final of the 2016 MIMIR individual competition took place at the Sands Hotel, Ainsdale on 11th May 2016.  The contestants were Rod Moore of Liverpool, Karl Whelan of Wirral, Dag Griffiths of Southport & Formby and Neil MacAskill of Warrington.

The match proved to be probably the closest fought one ever, and the whole event can be watched below:

 

MCC Plate Final 2016

The final of the MCC Plate took place at the Sands Hotel, Ainsdale on Wednesday 11th May 2016.  The match was between WSC Woodworms of the Warrington League and Exiles of the Liverpool League.

Feeny Cup Finals

The final matches in the Feeny Cup will be played on Wednesday 27 at St Joseph's Catholic Club, Meeting Lane, Penketh, Warrington, WA5 2BB commencing at 8.30 pm

The competition will be a round robin between Unison of Ormskirk, Gladly Stone and Oxton Cons, both of Wirral and

YMCA Warrington - St George's Day Quiz

Warrington YMCA are holding a St George's Day quiz to raise much needed funds to help keep it afloat.  They recently lost a large council contract and are struggling for funding - see the BBC website here:  http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-35696501

The quiz will take place on Friday 22nd April, at 7.30pm with an entrance fee of £2.50 per person.
