The Children in Need Quiz is held annually in Culcheth and has been hosted since it began 18 years ago by Alan Dedicoat, the voice over man on Strictly Come Dancing and the National Lottery. He also worked on air for years with Sir Terry Wogan on the Radio 2 Breakfast Show.
Alan Dedicoat’s 18th annual quiz in aid of BBC Children in Need is not far away!
Date: Sunday 17th November at 7.30pm
Venue: Royal British Legion Village Club, Wigshaw Lane, Culcheth, Warrington. WA3 4LY.
Teams of four if possible please.
All proceeds go directly to the charity. There will be a raffle plus a special £5 draw as usual. Obviously, donations will be most welcome as well!
Admission by ticket only which cost £10 per person, which includes a hotpot supper, obtainable directly from the venue or from Nick Robins. Call 07742 170830.

John Hall of Woodlands has qualified for the final of this year's MQL MIMIR competition, joining Mark Kerr (Liverpool) ,Jim Eccleson (Wirral) and current holder, Karl Whelan (Wirral).
The Final will be played at the Presentation Evening on Wed 16 May 2018 at Unison Club, Bishop Rd, St Helen's WA10 6SX

There will be a Pairs Competition on Tuesday 3rd April at St Oswald's Club commencing at 8:30 pm. Pairs will be drawn at random and there will be an initial qualifying round between the pairs in the form of a table quiz. The leading qualifiers will then play in a 15-to-1 style competition to determine the ultimate winners. Everyone is welcome to take part.
