The BBC are looking for confident, out-going individuals with a good level of general knowledge to take on the challenge of this exciting new BBC1 show hosted by Jake Humphrey!

Warrington Dialect

There's a fantastic website and Facebook page called WIRELECT which are all about the Warrington dialect. I bet you didn't even know you had one, but you do!!! You can find us at: Blogspot Wirelect and Facebook Wirelect

You can help WIRELECT build up a database of Warrington words and phrases by emailing them in at either site.

Season 2012/13

The fixtures for the 2012/13 season have now been published.  They can be found on each team's page, or on the event calendar.

There has been a minor rule change for season 2012/13.  A bonus point will now be awarded to a team losing by four points or fewer (it was previously three points).

Also, for season 2012/13 it will be permitted for home teams to submit score-sheets electronically by scanning them and emailing copies to Stuart Miller (smiller@19a-edgars.freeserve.co.uk), Derek Moody, (derek.moody@yahoo.co.uk), Cliff Houghton (cliff.angela9@gmail.com) and the opposing team secretary (or other email contact of opposing team if the secretary is not on email.  Hard copies of score-sheets must be retained and all submitted to Nick Corless by the following dates:

  1. For weeks 1-7 inclusive – by 31 October 2012
  2. For weeks 8-14 inclusive and Knock-out Round 1 – by 31 December 2012
  3. For weeks 15-21 inclusive and Knock-out Round 2 and Supporters’ Plate Round 1 – by 28 February 2013
  4. For weeks 22-28 inclusive – by 30 April 2013

Fines will be levied as usual for score-sheets not sent electronically before the end of the week in which the match took place and for hard copies not submitted by the due date.
